This week, Costco announced a collaboration with healthcare platform Sesame and fertility network IVI RMA North America, aimed at streamlining the fertility process. This partnership promises not only to save time but also substantially reduce costs for those seeking fertility treatments.
Members can expect impressive savings, with up to 80% off fertility medications and improved access to essential medical professionals, testing, and treatments. “Our partnership with Sesame and IVI RMA reflects our commitment to transparent and affordable solutions that reduce barriers and make care more accessible for our members,” explained Richard Stephens, senior vice president of pharmacy at Costco, in a recent press release. He emphasized, “By combining transparent pricing with coordinated care, we’re removing the obstacles that have historically kept quality fertility treatment out of reach for too many families.”
The process is designed to be user-friendly. Costco members will start by signing up for the digital healthcare platform Sesame, where they’ll undergo an intake and diagnostic procedure. Those requiring further fertility assistance will be transitioned to IVI RMA North America, connecting them with specialists to create a tailored treatment plan that includes options like in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI).

By connecting patients directly with care coordinators and world-class specialists, we’re making family planning more attainable and delivering measurable improvements in outcomes through coordinated, continuous care.”
Fertility treatments often involve expensive prescription drugs like Follistim, which can be a significant financial burden for many families. Thanks to Costco’s new program, members will have access to these medications at drastically reduced prices, with savings potentially reaching 80%.
